Earnshaw Books is always on the lookout for great books, whether it be your novel about old Shanghai's gritty underbelly or the memoirs of an Old China Hand. We believe that publishing can be a collaborative process and we enjoy working with writers to build upon and improve their existing manuscripts.
 
To all published or aspiring authors, we welcome your submissions but offer a word of caution. Not all books are right for all publishers and we cannot guarantee publication of your work. That being said, there are a number of ways to improve your chances. It is important to consider whether your book compliments our overall catalog, so please acquaint yourself with our titles before submitting. To find out if your book is right for us, we recommend sending:

• A cover letter which includes a brief summary of the work, its intended audience and how it would enhance the Earnshaw Books catalog.
• A table of contents with one-two sentence descriptions of each chapter.
• A brief summary of your project, one-two paragraphs at most, and an explanation of how your project differentiates itself from similar competing products.
• A short sample of the work, no more than a chapter or 10-15 pages, that gives us a sense of your ability as a writer.
